What's Going On With Jessie James?

Jessie's debut single "Wanted" is approaching Top 20 on the Pop Song chart. Jessie James takes another giant step into the spotlight this week as she is named an MTV Discover & Download Artist, giving millions of fans totally free, no-strings-attached access to the song for the first time. The country meets pop debut single has already sold more than 200,000 copies since its release 8 weeks ago. Her self-titled debut album will release August 11.

Did you catch Jessie on tour with the Jonas Brothers? Last month Jessie opened up for the Jersey boys at six different shows. Jessie is becoming so popular Steve Madden picked her up for a two month music campaign that started June 1st. In the final weeks be on a look out for her at in store signings.

Excited for the new album? Recorded in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and London, the 'Jessie James' album takes off with "Wanted", the dance-rock scorcher that Jessie co-wrote with American Idol judge and hit songwriter Kara DioGuardi (along with Mitch Allen and David Hodges). "I Look So Good" showcases artistic depth and soulful sound. "Bullet" is a catchy rock track co-written with pal Katy Perry. The sassy "Blue Jeans", with its hip-hop swagger and tribal percussion, was first heard in the hit film and soundtrack album of 'Confessions of A Shopaholic'. The song was also featured in this week’s July 19th premiere episode of Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva.

Listen out for "My Cowboy" to be featured in the upcoming promos for the Country Music Festival, beginning in August on ABC and CMT. The song will also promote the upcoming CMA Awards show airing in November; and will be heard in Sorority Wars, a Lifetime TV movie set to air in October.
