Quick Updates: Michael Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks

Michael Jackson won four awards at last night’s American Music Awards, bringing his career AMA total to 23, making him the most honored artist in AMA history.

Jennifer Hudson will play the title role in Equinoxe Films’ historical drama, Winnie, about Winnie Mandela, the ex-wife of South Africa’s first black president.

Jordin Sparks had to cancel a trip to Australia where she was scheduled to sing with Australian Idol Guy Sebastian, following an attack of acute appendicitis on Tuesday. She had an appendectomy yesterday and tweeted from the recovery room that she was “Feeling better but very sore.”
