I love it when celebrities work for charities and spread the love! Pearl Jam recently performed at the Beacon Theater in New York for a private show of their 26 songs. The private concert raised three million dollars for the Robin Hood Foundation’s poverty fighting initiatives. First floor seats were $2,250 (gasp), but it is all worth it for a good cause.
The band put on a good show performing Lowlight, Why Go, Wishlist, Sleight of Sand and Bob Dylan's Masters of War..just to name a few. Front man Eddie Vedder also decided to get political bashing the current President administrations continued funding of the Iraq war.
Pearl Jam will settle down into the studio and work on a upcoming album which will be produced by Brendan O'Brien. Vedder is also going solo in August for an East Coast tour promoting material from Into The Wild soundtrack including covers and of course Pearl Jam tracks.
