The three received NAACP Image Award nominations Wednesday in both film and music categories. Jennifer leads the pack with seven nominations, Beyonce follows with six.
All three women face off in the outstanding female music artist, best music video and for outstanding supporting actress. Hudson and Keys were nominated for their work in The Secret Life of Bees, and Knowles for her role in Cadillac Records.
Both films were nominated for Best Picture, along with Miracle at St. Anna, Seven Pounds and Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys.
The NAACP Vanguard Award will be presented to hip-hop pioneer Russell Simmons.
