According to Spin Magazine, DJ AM had eight undigested OxyContin pills in his stomach, and a ninth in his mouth, when police discovered his body. A NYC law enforcement source told People based on their findings he swallowed the pills in an attempt of a possible suicide. "He wanted to die," said the source. "He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn't even swallow it."
This makes me sad that AM was in such a dark place. It was also reported that a crack pipe and bag of crack cocaine were discovered with him. So what does this mean for AM's money? His mother Andrea Gross wants to oversee her son's $1 million estate to clear up his financial matters. The celebrity DJ did not have a will at the time of his death. AM had annual gross income of $3.5 million and other property valued at $400,000. He also left a debt of $2.9 million.
