Usher's wife Tameka Foster Raymond has suffered a serious injury due to complications from plastic surgery in Brazil, reports Access Hollywood.

On Sunday, Davis, Sony Music Worldwide's chief creative officer, told PEOPLE. "I talked to his mom. My thoughts are with them, whatever they're facing."

UPDATE:Usher's reps say the R&B singer cancelled Grammy plans because wife Tameka Raymond is in a Brazilian hospital after "sufferingcomplications from routine surgery." Foster is in stable condition and Usher is with her at the hospital, according to the reps. No further details are being released.
UPDATE 2: Despite the family's demand for privacy, the Brazilian media has uncovered some details about what went wrong. Brazilian news website G1 is reporting that Foster, 38, was rushed to the Sirio-Libanes Hospital's intensive care unit last Friday after a medical emergency during a liposuction operation. Foster reportedly suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest as she was being anesthetized for the procedure. She was put into an induced coma for 24 hours and was now recovering, according to the website.
