Everything Settled Over Blender Magazine Story

There was drama this week surrounding Fall Out Boy's cover story in February 2009 issue of Blender magazine. Drummer Andy Hurley called the story "sensationalist" and "pure bullshit" (before he read it! After he did he was still a little steamed, but more interested in recommending the two albums by the Solution, “Communicate!” and “Will Not Be Televised,” and one thing we can all agree on is that those albums are awesome) while singer Patrick Stump was bothered by the piece's portrayal of bassist Pete Wentz, who he feels we made out to be a narcissist. 

Thing is, as sarcastic, bitter, and unable to care about others as we are, we really like Fall Out Boy! Gave their new album four stars! Put in our top ten of 2008. And we thought our story made Pete Wentz out to be a guy who had struck a healthy new balance between the whole rock star thing and the rest of his life. 

Now, everything is all good between Blender and Fall Out Boy. Here’s what Stump had to say on his own site:

Hey, so I want to say that this whole thing is stupid. Blender wrote a good article and and doesn't deserve the flak that it's supposedly getting from the band about it..."
