The band explains the cover is because they can do a "better job than Britney."

Britney's New Single Pushed Back

Britney Spears' first single has been delayed by a week! “Womanizer”, off Brit’s sixth studio album Circus will officially hit airwaves NEXT Monday, Sept. 29.
Last Friday, a clip of the song was leaked and now apparently, it needs to go back to the editing room.

Z100 in New York confirmed that the media does not have access to the single, and Britney’s label is pushing the release back till next Monday. Digital release is scheduled for October 7th.

The first single by Britney Spears is confirmed to be "Womanizer" and will hit airwaves Sept 22nd. Jive/Zomba announced her sixth studio album, Circus, set for release December 2nd. The first single "Womanizer" was produced by the up-and-coming Atlanta production team The Outsyders. The album release date coincides with Spears' birthday. Britney has collaborated with producers/writers that include Dr. Luke (who wrote and produced the album's title track, Circus), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Bjork).
