The All American Rejects Team Up With Gillette

The All-American Rejects have teamed up with Gillette.com for Gillette UNCUT, a new music film series by acclaimed rock photographer Danny Clinch. UNCUT is part of the personal care brand's new Shave Like A Rockstar campagin, and features a short film, photos, and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the band as they prepare for a recent concert in Atlantic City. In the intimate short, Tyson, Nick, Mike and Chris share with fans their pre-show rituals and preparations, as well as how they have evolved as a band and as individuals since their formation in 1999. All American Rejects New Music News

After closing out 2009 with their hit single “Gives You Hell” as the #1 most played song of the year, The All-American Rejects kick off 2010 with a brand new song for “Almost Alice,” the soon to be released CD from Buena Vista Records is inspired by the upcoming Disney Digital 3D film, ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

ALMOST ALICE, a collection of original songs based on some of the most charismatic characters in literary history, acts as a companion piece to the film’s score composed by Danny Elfman for the original motion picture soundtrack and will hit shelves March 2, 2010.

The Rejects’ new song, “The Poison,” is a cheeky take on Alice and her Mad Hatter. “Being a self-proclaimed Mad Hatter, this is a song about how prissy little Alice can be poison for us all. It was best for us both that she fell down that hole,” joked The All-American Rejects front man Tyson Ritter.

What Song Is The Most Played Song Of The Year

"Gives You Hell," the lead single off of The All-American Rejects' current album, When the World Comes Down, has officially been named the #1 Most Played Song of 2009 on Billboard’s Top 40 Chart, edging out the competition that included Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida and Taylor Swift.

"Gives You Hell" spent four weeks at #1 on the Top 40 charts making it the group’s first #1 song on Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40 Tracks charts. The song was also their first to break into the top five on Billboard’s Hot 100 and stayed in the Billboard top 10 for over 13 weeks. With over 3.3 million copies in digital sales alone, these stats make “Gives You Hell” the band’s most successful single to date. The successes of 2009 have paved the way for an exciting 2010 with The All-American Rejects. The band has locked in major appearances such as performing at this year’s Winter Olympics at the Whistler Medals Plaza, a high profile performance for Direct TV at Super Bowl XLIV and a Direct TV special set to air in February, with more exciting news and details to be announced.

Tyson Ritter Talks Emergency Surgery

I mentioned earlier that Tyson Ritter endured an injury so the All American Rejects had to cancel a few shows on the tour. Tyson took to YouTube to clear up what happened over the past few weeks. Watch Tyson recount the story of getting an infection in his knee that spread to his bloodstream. Although he dropped weight in the hospital, the AAR front man is on his way to recovery after surgery and in great spirits. Check out the clip here to learn what fans can expect next from AAR and stay tuned for the forthcoming video for their single "I Wanna."

All-American Rejects Cancel a Few Shows

Front man Tyson Ritter performed last week while sitting in a wheel chair with a leg brace during the band's gig in Tampa, Florida. They decided to cancel their next three upcoming shows. The band's rep revealed that Tyson "sustained an injury while on tour and is taking necessary precautions for a speedy recovery."

The following statement was on their website today:

"The All-American Rejects are sorry to announce the cancellation of three upcoming show dates—two dates in support of Blink-182 and one headlining date in Atlantic City. Lead Singer Tyson Ritter sustained an injury while on tour and is taking necessary precautions for a speedy recovery.

The All-American Rejects will return to the stage stateside when they kick-off their co-headlining tour with Taking Back Sunday on November 3rd in East Lansing, Michigan."

New Music: I Wanna: The Remixes - All American Rejects

I'm not really a fan of remix E.P.'s but I will listen to a good remix. Once again, The All-American Rejects have released a four track EP of remixed of their hit single "I Wanna." The EP includes remixes by Blink 182's Mark Hoppus as well as DiscoTech, DJ Spider and Eli Escobar.

The All American Rejects Take Over The List

MySpace's The List welcomed The All-American Rejects for an exclusive session in front of a roaring Dallas crowd, all captured in high-def! The guys rocked out a special 6 song set featuring some tracks from the band's latest release When The World Comes Down including hits ";Gives You Hell" and ";I Wanna" as well as "Dirty Little Secret" from the band's album Move Along. They did an awesome acoustic performance of ";Mona Lisa" and look for the indie pop act The Pierces on ";Another Heart Calls". The All American Rejects Perform For Alexa Chung

The All-American Rejects stopped by MTV's It's On With Alexa Chung earlier this week to perform their latest single, "I Wanna." Watch them rock the track from When The World Comes Down HERE.

While the guys were in NYC, front man Tyson Ritter paid a visit to David Arquette who is living inside a plexiglass box atop Madison Square Garden for two days in an attempt to raise money for charity. Check out the photo Tyson snapped on his Twitter.

Z100's Zootopia Takes Over Izod Center

Z100's 2009 Zootopia concert took over the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ on Saturday. Ciara, Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson Flo Rida, Soulja Boy, The All American Rejects and Jessie McCartney took the stage. Flo Rida & Soulja Boy offered to show some skin during their performances. The All-American Rejects have just released their video for the emotionally vibrant track "Wind Blows." This is the band's second single from When The World Comes Down, the follow-up to the multi-platinum selling Move Along.

Behind The Scenes: All American Rejects - Wind Blows Video

The All-American Rejects are no strangers to great music videos. The band already won a MTV Video Music Award in 2006 for “Best Group Video” for their hit single “Move Along.” Three years later the band has returned with their most sophisticated video to-date for “Wind Blows,” the newest single from When The World Comes Down.

Before the official video makes its world premiere on April 26th, the band has released a video of behind-the-scenes footage. Travel with the band to the beautiful Malibu beach front, into the water and through the process of making a video. Z100's Zootopia Taking Over The Izod Center!

NY's Number 1 Hit music station, Z100, is hosting their Zootopia concert again.  Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Jesse McCartney, Soulja Boi, Flo Rida, Ciara and The All American Rejects will hit the stage May 16.

The concert will take place at NJ's Izod Center at 7:30pm.

Tyson Ritter of AAR Doesn't Get Lady GaGa

Tyson Ritter, the frontman for All American Rejects doesn't understand Lady GaGa and her music. The band covered the hits of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in the past, don't want to cover Lady GaGa's smash hit 'Just Dance'.
Tyson said this about video vixen Lady GaGa:
“I don’t get her. I don’t think the song or the concept is as cool as people say it is. She’s supposed to be this high-fashion person but I don’t think the music fits. It’s not particularly edgy.”
