On her boo, British comedian Russell Brand: “When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hope like a bunny when I’m happy—I get a bit childlike.” On feeling vulnerable: “I have always been this character, but I kind of cartoon-ized myself a little bit [in my stage persona]. So when someone really likes me, it’s like here comes a person! I wonder if you can handle this.”

Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand are engaged,according to UsMagazine.com. The two have been dating since September 2009. This comes days after Katy tweeted "He built this for me" with a picture of the couple infront of the Taj Mahal. An insider told UsMag that the trip to India was a Christmas gift from Brand.
MTV just announced Katy Perrywill host the MTV Europe Music Awards. The show will be in Berlin on November 5th. This marks the first time MTV's ever asked someone to host two consecutive EMAs. Green Day and Leona Lewis are scheduled to perform.
Katy Perry covers the 2009 July issue of Seventeen magazine. Here are some excerpts from the article.
On her worst job she ever had: “I worked at this place called Taxi, Taxi Music, where I would sit with headphones and a computer, and I would listen to music that people would send in from all around the country so they could get a critique on it and how to make it in the music industry. So you have to imagine how depressed I was after not making it in LA after five years, knowing everyone in the music industry couldn’t get a break, and sitting in this cubicle, listening to the worst music I’ve ever heard. I would tell these people ‘Well you have to change these chords’ or ‘This is how you contact a record label.’ And I was just like, I cannot give these people hope. I had no hope [myself.]”
On what her life was like before she made it big: “It was five years of living in L.A. with no money, writing bad checks, selling my clothes to make rent, borrowing money. Just trying to keep up with the Joneses. It was super-draining, but I knew inside it was going to happen. I was at least going to get my chance. I always say, ‘Step up to the plate and swing.’ It was up to me If I was going to hit that ball and run.”
On being a role model: “I think that [Miley (Cyrus) and the Jonas Brothers] set out to be role models, and I think, I at least hope they know what they’re doing. Because once you say you’re a role model, you’re under a microscope and everyone is waiting and watching for you to do something, you know? And then there’s this big pointing-of-the-finger thing. I mean, they have purpose being role models and having the promise ring thing. But it’s not for everyone.”

Rihanna and Katy Perry soaked up the sun in Barbados on a boat. The singers have become friendly in recent months.

Katy Perry currently is becoming inseparable from Rihanna. The "I Kissed a Girl" singer got in touch with Rihanna in order to help her overcoming sadness following Chris Brown's case for allegedly assaulting her in February. It is also said that Katy has cheered the "Disturbia" singer up by taking her for "girlie nights out".
"Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it," The Sun quotes a source as saying. "Both of them have had man troubles recently so they are enjoying having some girlie time."
In another Katy Perry news, the 24-year-old beauty, who recently stated that Lily Allen's body is hot, shares an advice to avoid paparazzi. "There are seven thousand other restaurants in L.A. besides the Ivy," she says. "If you don't want to be photographed, have your assistant pick up a chopped salad for you."
I posted yesterday that Josh Groban and Katherine Elizabeth Hudson may be an item. According to Josh's rep the two singers aren't romantically involved.
"Josh and Katy are very close friends and hang out, but they are not a couple," Groban's rep, Luke Burland, tells PEOPLE in response to rumors of a relationship between the two.

Katy is currently touring and Josh is working on a new album and was spotted at Katy's concert last February in L.A.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer was posing for a magazine shoot, when the lively animal - which was on the set for the photo shoot - relieved itself on her.
She wrote on her blog: "Jeremy Scott is one of my all time favourites and he shot the pictures while I got to prance around in his creations. I had a chimp on set with me that day. Fun fact, she peed all over me, I had to take a silkwood shower in the middle of shooting." PhotoSource
Katy Perry was forced to leave the Wednesday night’s 2009 Brit Awards early after becoming violently ill and vomitting backstage.
Katy’s Best International Female Solo Artist victory was slightly marred after the singer found herself overwhlemed by a wave of illness.
“I’m so sick right now, but they said I should show up because something special might happen. Thank you to everyone at my record label. (I proved) I work pretty hard because I want to die right now,” Katy told the audience.
Katy vomitted as soon as she left the stage, according to a text message she sent to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. “Just got a text from Katy. She had to leave the Brits after she won.
