Quick Update: Bret Michaels, Lifehouse

Bret Michaels is celebrating his birthday today (March 15)! Happy Birthday Bret! Catch Bret on Rachel Ray on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) and of course NBC's Celebrity Apprentice which premieres March 14th and runs through May 23rd.

Lifehouse released their fifth studio album Smoke & Mirrors on March 2nd, and this week it will debut at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart with 54,203 sold. This marks the highest chart debut of their ten year career. Lifehouse will kick off a national tour with Daughtry on March 18th.

To celebrate the release of latest album Smoke & Mirrors on Tuesday, March 2nd, Lifehouse will be hosting a concert and CD signing at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City's Times Square as part of their March on Stage live music series. Tickets are only $10, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to patients in healthcare facilities.

Lifehouse have just premiered their new music video for "Halfway Gone" on VH1. Watch as friends and fans "magically" appear for a day in the park with the band in the Frank Borin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Good Charlotte) directed clip.
"Halfway Gone" is the first single from their upcoming album Smoke & Mirrors, to be released on February 2, 2010.

Lifehouse Album Release Date Confirmed

Lifehouse has confirmed a new release date for their fifth studio album, Smoke & Mirrors. The album will now hit stores February 2, 2010, and will be available in a standard edition as well as a deluxe edition that will include four additional tracks. In anticipation of the release, however, the band recently debuted the cover art on their official website.
In the meantime, "Halfway Gone" - the first single from Smoke & Mirrors - is rapidly climbing the charts. It is available for purchase now on iTunes.

New Music: Lifehouse - Halfway Gone

Lifehouse announces the release of their fifth studio album Smoke & Mirrors on Geffen Records December 8th. First single "Halfway Gone," co-written by Lifehouse lead singer Jason Wade, Kevin Rudolf ("Let It Rock") and producer Jude Cole (Rocco Deluca, Beth Orton, MoZella).

Smoke & Mirrors showcases two sides of Lifehouse -- songs like "Smoke & Mirrors," "Wrecking Ball" and "Had Enough" (with guest vocals by Chris Daughtry) have a raw and stage driven feel to them capturing the live, rock side of the band; a sound they had perfected after 10 years of solid touring. While tracks like "All In," "Here Tomorrow Gone Today" and the first single "Halfway Gone" are songs sure to be heard on radio for years to come.

Music Fans In The Jersey Shore

Toms River Fest is a two day festival on Saturday, Aug 2 to Sunday, Aug 3 at Toms River North high school. Gates open 2pm and shows should end 10pm. Ticket prices range from $35-75, a limited number of discounted, two-day general admission passes will be available for $60. A $2 charity fee will be added to each ticket for Toms River Schools District Technology Foundation.

They will also have giant inflatables for kids, BMX bike demonstrations, community exhibits, food, various vendors, and fireworks after the show. You can get your tickets at TRFest.com, Ticketmaster, and FYE in Ocean Country mall.
