Music Fans In The Jersey Shore

Toms River Fest is a two day festival on Saturday, Aug 2 to Sunday, Aug 3 at Toms River North high school. Gates open 2pm and shows should end 10pm. Ticket prices range from $35-75, a limited number of discounted, two-day general admission passes will be available for $60. A $2 charity fee will be added to each ticket for Toms River Schools District Technology Foundation.

They will also have giant inflatables for kids, BMX bike demonstrations, community exhibits, food, various vendors, and fireworks after the show. You can get your tickets at TRFest.com, Ticketmaster, and FYE in Ocean Country mall.

Chris Daughtry's New Album

Chris Daughtry has done very well for himself considering he didn't win idol. After releasing debut album Daughtry (which went four time platinum) what can we expect?
"I don't want to put out anything that is second rate or be accused of going through a sophomore slump," Chris Daughtry told EW.com "So we're taking our time on it."

Daughtry is shooting for another rock album and keeping producer Howard Benson around. Hopefully the album will be released Spring 2009. One thing is for sure, we wont see Daughtry in the gossip magazines running around LA.

"I only come out here to get my work done, [though] it is fun to go out at night to things like premieres with my wife. But we still live in North Carolina, which helps keep it real."

Viva La Vida Holds New Record

As of ending week June 29th Coldplay holds the record of selling more downloads than any album in digital history. Viva La Vida sold 66,000 downloads this week bringing their total of 345,000 in just TWO WEEKS!!! The record was held by John Mayer since September 2006 with 353,000 downloads. The other albums who accomplished more paid digital downloads were Amy Winehouse for Back To Black (329,000), Daughtry's Daughtry (323,000), and our favorite!...Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds with 301,000 downloads.
