Eminem has confirmed that his sixth studio album Relapse won’t arrive until next year. It had previously been reported that Relapse would hit stores before the end of the year, but Em told MTV that his first LP since 2004 is now scheduled for a January or February 2009 release. Em is currently in the studio with Dr. Dre in Detroit. He has recorded around 100 songs over the last couple years. “We’re real close right now,” he told Carson Daly on MTV’s Total Live Finale on Sunday.
The Roots will take a break from their touring schedule beginning next March. The band will be trading in its tour bus to join comedian Jimmy Fallon’s new late night talk show as his full-time house band. Fallon’s show replaces Conan O’Brien’s “Late Night” on NBC next year, while Conan takes over for Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show.”
Snoop Dogg is hoping for rain after his family and staff were among 26,000 people forced to evacuate their homes Sunday due to Southern California wildfires. "My family had to be evacuated. It's right in the area of where I live in, so I'm just praying for everybody, hopefully rain, and that firefighters get it done trying to bring an end," the rapper tells E! News.
The Grammy-nominated star was not home at the time his family had to clear out of his multimillion-dollar property in the Country Estates, an exclusive, gated hillside community in Diamond Bar, Calif. Snoop says his family is "cool" and are seeking shelter with other relatives.
Mariah Carey has been added to the performance roster for “The Grammy Nominations concert Live!! – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night,” a special unveiling Grammy nominees live on CBS Dec. 3 before the airing of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
