I found this while searching on YouTube. John Mayer is testing out new music with his band while at soundcheck in Arizona. It sounds pretty good. Hopefully we can hear more. Maybe some lyrics added next time? The music is great but John's checkerboard pants were bothering me the whole video.

Ready For John Mayer's Summer Tour!

I love me some John Mayer! I'm even more excited for his tour this summer. I came across this video when I stumbled upon his Tumblr account again. John finished his winter tour and will be hitting a town near you this summer.
John wrote this on his Tumblr:
"As a thank you to everyone who came out to a show on this tour, my friend 13th Witness put together a little video memoir of the times we had on the road.
To those who came out…It’s safe to say I had some great times and some not-so-great times on this run. Every second on stage was an uplifting and beautiful experience for me, as I hope it was for you. My new favorite part of playing shows is looking around and watching you. It’s impossible to take a second of this for granted when I can see you letting loose and dancing and singing along and getting to watch that weight on your shoulders lift for 2 hours."
Enjoy the video!!!

John Mayer Brings Fan Onstage
Regardless of what John Mayer said in his recent Playboy interview, the man still puts on a good concert. Many people may be hating on John at the moment (I bet he wishes he could take back the comments from that interview) but this video made me smile. John brings a young fan by the name of Austin onto the stage and they play "Belief" together. John I still love you. Even if your comments were out of line.

John Mayer Gives Fans A Free Song

This is another reason why I like John Mayer! John posted an in home studio version of "Edge of Desire" on his tumblr. John tweeted today saying, "home recording of "Edge of Desire" as a way to say thank you to everyone for making Battle Studies a success."
On his tumblr he writes:
I’ve been thinking of a way to say thank you for making Battle Studies such a huge success out of the gate… I’ve also been thinking of a way to use tumblr as a means of posting some more substantial stuff… So here’s a very raw, live solo version of “Edge of Desire” I just recorded in my apartment as a way to show my gratitude to you all for extending my time in this amazing career you’ve helped me build.
I think if you were kind enough to spent the 13 bucks, you should get some free music for the next good while.
So here it is. A song about late night longing recorded at 3am. iPhone dinging in the background and all…(that’s how I knew the take was going to be worth sticking with, as the best takes always get interrupted.)
Thank you.
More to come…
John

John Mayer Covers Details Magazine

John Mayer's looking hot on the December 2009 cover of Details magazine. You can grab your copy on December 1st.
On creating pop music: “I don’t know if you know, but I’m not exactly Bob Dylan – I’m already a pop musician…I want to reach as many people as possible…I don’t mind compromising.”
On people hating him: “What if I had a booth on the street and I said, ‘Attention everybody who hates me: If you have a problem with me, I’m ready to hear your gripes! I will be outside the Barneys store on 60th Street from two to four this afternoon…I will only be speaking to people who do not like me. Come out and let me have it.’ How many people do you think would be standing there?…Ze-ro.”

Quick Updates: John Mayer, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Lady GaGa
John Mayer and actor Hugh Jackman are auctioning off tickets to their upcoming NYC performances – plus a post-show meet and greet – to benefit an orphanage in Mexico. Go to http://charitybuzz.com/auctions for more details.
Tonight, Chris Brown will be featured on MTV News special “Chris Brown: The Interview” airs at 6PM ET/PT on MTV.
There is buzz that Justin Timberlake may be playing another animated character? JT already played the part as Artie in Shrek 3, he may play Boo Boo from Yogi Bear. I can't see it, but anything is possible when it comes to Justin. He's really good at SNL skits and I loved him in Alpha Dog.
The music video for "Bad Romance" will premiere exclusively at LadyGaga.com this Monday, November 9th!

John Mayer Still Needs His Dad's Opinion
John Mayer brought his dad down to listen to his latest music project. The Mayer's were spotted in LA on Wednesay. I think that is so cute. John trusts his dad's honest opinion on his work. I'm still waiting for John's next CD and I'm getting really antsy. So John if you reading this..hurry the hell up with the CD already.
John is one of the artists asked to help remake the late Michael Jackson's song "Will You Be There". TMZ reports the proceeds will be split 50/50 between The Larry King Cardiac Foundation and a charity close to Michael Jackson. Other artists who are reportedly involved are Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Usher, Dionne Warwick, Wyclef Jean, Jermaine Jackson, Larry King’s wife Shawn and possibly Jennifer Hudson.

Step Inside John Mayer's Crib

Ever wonder what John Mayer's Soho apartment looks like? Elle Decor featured the 15 time grammy nominee on their site. John's pad is really nice. The place was decorated by Armani/Casa and doesn't really rsemble what I pictured John's bachelor pad to look like. Check it out HERE

Celebs Respond To Michael Jackon's Death

Justin Timberlake released a statement via his official website:
I can’t find the words right now to express how deeply saddened I am by Michael’s passing. We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only Pop music but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.“This is such a tragic loss and a terrible day. The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music. He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. He will always be the king of pop!” — Beyonce Knowles
- Justin
“I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words. Divinity brought our souls together on ‘The Wiz’ and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the ’80s. To this day, the music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.” — Quincy Jones, who produced Michael’s Thriller album
Most of the celebrities updated their thoughts using Twitter.
Taylor Swift: "It just doesn't feel real.. Everyone is walking around backstage saying "Have you heard?".
Ashley Tisdale: "I have to say, the 6 of us from HSM were very lucky to have met such an amazing man. I will remember that moment forever. RIP Michael"
Jessie James: "Why is it our icons die so young?"
Esmee Denters: "Is this really true??? i can not believe that Michael Jackson died...."
John Mayer: "Michael Jackson, like James Brown and Prince, are nearly uncoverable. The tunes were about his innate talent and can't really be replicated."
Alicia Keys: "Today is so sad........"
Pink: "Michael Jackson was one of the best that ever did it. RIP"
The list can go on and on. Michael touched so many people in the world.
