Gaga Is Headlining Lollapalooza

It was announced earlier this week that Lady Gaga had one of the headlining slots for the Lollapalooza music festival. Gaga and her Monster Ball tour mates Semi Precious Wapons take the stage in Grant Park in downtown Chicago. For the full line-up for the Aug 6-8 festival and tickets go HERE.

In music chart news, Gaga was the first franchise to rack up more than 1 billion total online video views ("Poker Face," "Bad Romance," and "Just Dance"), according to online analytics company Visible Measures, which tallied the plays on clips that made its "100 Million Views Club" list. She's also the only artist of the digital era to top the 5 million sales mark with her first two hit singles, a record she broke when "Poker Face" reached 5 million in sales after her debut single, "Just Dance," accomplished that feat last year.

Congrads Gaga! You deserve all of your success!

New Video: Lady Gaga Ft. Beyonce - Telephone

Lady Gaga definitely took tips from Michael Jackson's videos. The singer recruits Beyonce to star in the mini movie along with actor/singer Tyrese Gibson. Be on the look out for Gaga's little sister (Natali Germonatta) in the video. In the scene when Gaga is on the phone in jail, check out the girl behind her that looks just like Gaga.

Gaga's Topless Magazine Cover Causes Issues

Lady Gaga recently posed for the cover of Q magazine, which has been banned by several leading stores in the U.S. As soon as I found this article and saw the picture I felt people were overreacting. The singer supposedly walked out of the recent shoot after bosses wanted her to strike a controversial pose to address rumors about her being a hermaphrodite. That right there pissed me off. The first comment that came to mind was to "leave Gaga alone".

The article also states the editors weren't impressed with her demands and various negotiations continued. Gaga reportedly burst into tears and walked out. Regardless of what happened at the photoshoot, the final product isn't that risky of a photo.

Borders and other stores (that the article didn't mention) refuses to stock the magazine unless it is placed in a sealed cover (according to QTheMusic.com). I can think back to plenty of covers that featured celebrities practically naked and they weren't sold in plastic wrap. Think back to Ciara's 2008 nude Vibe cover, Britney and Christina's Rolling Stone covers (from '03 and '02). Do people expect certain covers to have certain type of pictures on it? RS is known for controversial covers, but does that mean people won't be outraged by it? I know nothing about Q magazine, but I feel they were giving Gaga a hard time.

Akon Says Gaga's A Blessing

Akon says in a recent interview with AP that Lady Gaga was a blessing and came at the right moment. He also told the story of the "Just Dance" singer getting dropped from Interscope Records and he decided to sign her to KonLive.

Is there a possible dance track for Dr. Dre? Akon says, “You’ve got some straight hardcore hip-hop guys actually moving into the dance realm.” He adds, “That’s shocking when you got someone like Dr. Dre about to do a dance record.”

Gaga Does It Again

Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" hit the number one spot on the US Airplay Chart, becoming the only artist ever to have their first five singles go straight to the top of the chart. “Just six months ago, Bad Romance was nothing but a dream, a recurring melody, a lyric hidden on a napkin on my tour bus,” Gaga said. “Now, it’s my fifth #1 record, and a reminder to fans to always follow their dreams.”

The "Just Dance" singer adds, “I would like to thank all my beautiful little monsters and my incredibly supportive team for the most memorable year of my life. To have had such a phenomenal reception to my second album, The Fame Monster, is life-changing. I’m so happy I could die.”

Ke$ha Dethrones Gaga For Download Record

Ke$ha's debut single "Tik Tok" is tearing up the charts and has set the record for all-time single-week digital sales.

Ke$ha passes Lady Gaga's record for "Just Dance" (419,000 downloads) by bringing in 610,000 downloads. She is also the singer on "Right Around" by Flo Rida which brought in 636,000.

I can't stand that song, but the girl has been featured on a few other tracks by some pretty popular mainstream singers. Good luck to her and congrads.
