Taylor Swift Donates $500,000 To Tennessee

Taylor Swift donated $500,000 to flood relief in Nashville, which will go directly to various flood relief organizations in the city (the flooding killed 30 in three states).

“Being at home during the storm, I honestly could not believe what was happening to the city and the people I love so dearly,” the 20-year-old country cutie told The Associated Press via e-mail. “Nashville is my home, and the reason why I get to do what I love. I have always been proud to be a Nashvillian, but especially now, seeing the love that runs through this city when there are people in crisis.”

The Grammy winner spoke about writing the song, “When I wrote ‘Fearless,’ I wasn’t dating anyone.” She also said, “I wasn’t even in the beginning stages of dating anybody. Taylor Swift covers People magazine's year end issue. The country megastar celebrates is featured on the 25 most intriguing people of 2009.

The issue hitting newsstands Friday (December 18), Taylor, 20, was named People’s “Golden Girl.” Taylor mentioned she didn't let fame get to her head, “You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes.”

“I would like to think everybody out there isn’t just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk. People know I’m not a party girl. I’m not hiding some dying urge to be out clubbing right now.”

Justin Finishes Shriners Hospital Open With Concert

Justin Timberlake's Shriners Hospital For Children Open finished its week long festivities on Saturday (Oct 17) with a concert. The Justin & Friends concert featured Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, Taylor Swift, Jay Sean, T-Boz and Chili of TLC, Ciara and Alicia Keys.
I only have a few pictures now but there is more to come. Justin and Timbaland premiered their single "Carry Out" off Tim's upcoming release Shock Value 2.

Justin was all over the place last night showing off his skills. JT rapped with Snoop, beatboxed with Timbaland, played Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and mashed up King’s of Leon “Use Somebody” with "Cry me a river" as well as Coldplay’s Viva La Vida & Lovestoned.

Taylor Swift To Host & Perform On SNL

Taylor Swift will host SNL on November 7! "I've been thinking about skit ideas for a long time," Swift told the Associated Press. "There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits."

Not only will Taylor host but she will perform as well. "Of course I've been such a fan for a long time, but I've gone back and re-watched everything over the past couple of months and digital shorts would be so much fun to do, because they've been done so well," she said. "Andy Samberg is hilarious."

You'll have to wait a few weeks to see Taylor on Saturday Night Live, but she will be performing on Dancing with the Stars on October 27.

I'm Team Taylor and so is many celebs who tweeted about Kanye's rude rant. American Idol season 1 winner, Kelly Clarkson posted a blog about the VMA moment.

“Dear Kanye, What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like s—. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty s—ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. Kanye Apologizes To Taylor Swift

If you saw the VMA's last night you already know country starlet Taylor Swift won Best Female Video and was interrupted by Kanye and his rant. So Kanye thought it would be so great to interrupt Taylor and take the mic saying he thought Beyonce should have won and blah blah blah. Shame on you Kanye! Kanye has apoligized saying:

“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom [Andrea]. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!…………….. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Taylor Swift is re-releasing her top-selling CD Fearless on Oct. 27 with six new songs. She will also include a DVD of photos, tour footage and her videos, including her comedic clip with T-Pain from the Country Music Association Awards earlier this year.

Miley Cyrus is set to appear in a scene of the sequel to the super successful movie Sex and the City, according to a filming schedule obtained by Life & Style.

Christina Milian is expecting her first baby with The-Dream. The news comes exactly a week to the day after the pair secretly tied the knot in Las Vegas.

Taylor Swift films scenes for the 2009 VMA's promotional video called "Tonight".

The 19-year-old country starlet joins Cobra Starship, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Russel Brand for a special version of the West Side Story song.

Taylor spoke to MTV about the video, “It’s gonna be me and a bunch of artists, and we’re shooting individual versions of the song. Mine is shot in a vintage old cab. My version of ‘Tonight’ was pretty theatrical, because I listened to the song and I heard the song and I’m just like, ‘There’s no way to do this and not play it up,’When we were in the studio recording, it I just kind of went all out — all show tunes. I am obsessed with Broadway. So I was pretty excited about getting to sing this song.”


The 2009 VMA's will premiere live from NYC on Sunday, September 13 at 9PMET/PT.

Which Producer Wants To Work With Taylor Swift?

Timbaland said in a recent interview he would like to work with Taylor Swift. One of the hottest producers who worked with Jay-Z, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Keri Hilson and Missy Elliot wants to work with another country artists. (He worked with Keith Urban before.)

Timbaland said to Radar Online, “I think the main person I want to get is Taylor Swift,” he told RadarOnline.com. “I love her voice. I just think me and her can do something amazing.”

The producer tried to contact the country starlet, “Her people said that she was busy. She wanted to do it, but you know, there’s all these people you gotta go through and her people said she was busy… but I’ll make it happen.”

So if these two do meet in the studio what can you expect? “It would have a country swing, but just a little bit of me. I know how to do that real good.” the Virginia native said.

I think that would be pretty interesting. Hopefully it works out and we can hear an awesome collaboration.

Taylor Swift was caught kissing Twilight's Taylor Lautner on the set of their upcoming movie, Valentine's Day. The country starlet plays Taylor's girlfriend. Tay Swift tweeted earlier saying, “Spent all day with the other Taylor. Lots of laughing, lots of confusion over which one was actually being called to set.”
