Ashlee Simpson Turns 25 & Dad Talks Jess Weight Criticism

Ashlee Simpson, hubby Pete, and sister Jessica were in Las Vegas on Saturday at the Wet Republic pool at the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino to celebrate Ashlee’s 25th birthday!
No like this is relevant at all but Joe Simpson recently spoke about Jessica's weight criticism saying, “She’s always scrutinized by the world and [it's great] to watch her go to other countries and see women talk about what is beautiful there,” Joe told US Weekly. “We were just in Uganda, and a beauty ambassador [there] knew Jessica’s total story about her weight and blah, blah, blah. [She said] to Jessica that it’s about who you are inside, which is the message of our show.”

Jessica needs to get over it. This is how the tabloids feed off of your success. Papa Joe is just keeping Jessica in the press since she doesn't have any music or anything current at the moment. What a good manager.

The Pete Wentz's Are Coming Out

Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz are featured in NOH8 Campaign’s second PSA titled “I’m Coming Out” to help raise awareness about marriage equality.

NOH8 is a campaign in response to Propostion 8, the Supreme Court ruling that upheld a ban on gay marriage.

Pete Wentz Turns 30 And Doesn't Party?

Fall Out Boy member, Pete Wentz, turned the big 3-0 on Saturday. The rocker celebrated his birthday in Las Vegas with his wife Ashlee Simpson. The two had dinner at Yellowtail restaurant inside the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. After enjoying some sushi the couple went to the Bank nightclub where Pete got a birthday cake with Ashlee and baby Bronx's face dawn in icing.

Pete couldn't stay away from Twitter. He tweeted to his followers, “I am the embodiment of las vegas right now. I have ‘reported’ to the dance floor. Thanks bellagio. I need that 80 grand in chips.”

The 24-year-old actress/singer writes, “I present you my little man and his adorable cheeks!”

She also invited Solange Knowles over to her home. She writes, “Yeah I’m in town shooting tomorrow but around this week. You guys should come over."

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were spotted arriving at the 2009 MTV Australia Awards.

The “Pieces of Me” songstress and her Fall Out Boy hubby seemed annoyed as they made their way inside the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center in Darling Harbour, both sporting sleek black ensembles as they posed for the paparazzi.

Earlier this week, a source told press, "Ashlee and Pete are on the rocks. He is going out all the time and she's stuck at home. It's just not working."

Bronx Mowgli Loves Him Some Music

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz bring their baby Bronx Mowgli to LAX to catch a flight to London on Tuesday (March 3).

Pete Wentz recently said, “To get our son to sleep we play him Bob Dylan’s ‘You Belong To Me’. Or a little Sinatra.”

The Fall Out Boy also said, “My boy’s probably the last person in the world to appreciate my singing voice. Although I wrote a lullaby especially for him – you’ll find it on our new album if you look hard enough – it’s a hidden track. We had so much fun doing it I’m going to put out an album of songs for children.”

Ashlee Defends Big Sis Jess

We all know its EVERYWHERE about Jessica Simpson at a recent gig looking "fat". I put that in quotes because I dont consider her fat...it just wasnt the right outfit. 

Ashlee Simpson feels the need to defend her sister:

“Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy? I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard.

Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend?

I seriously doubt it. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now can we focus on the things that really matter.”

What do you think? Yay for Ashlee for sticking up for Jess or they both need to be quiet?

Ashlee Simpson blogged about her newborn son Bronx Mowgli, 3 weeks. Here’s what she wrote on her MySpace Celebrity page about her son and husband Pete Wentz:

“Hey everyone! I haven’t written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru, Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday! I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy’s show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can’t wait for their new record! And last night I went to Pete and Bronx’s godfather Travis’ artshow. It’s amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. Today I read on a blog that I went to the doctor and he said I was overweight and I cried and went to Planet Blue (because I was blue) and bought 6 pair of size 0 jeans. Now it is ridiculous to read such nonsense about oneself so I thought I was would address this one...1. My doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain2. Have not been to Planet Blue in at least two years3. Love my maternity jeans ..they have stretchy tops it is awesome!4. My closet full of size 0 are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them :)So now that I have cleared that up let me tell you...carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life. My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about. I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. People who talk and judge pregnant women's weight need to get a life!!!

Ashlee & Pete Get Mobbed

Ashlee Simpson & hubby Pete Wentz were leaving Cafe Med after having lunch yesterday. It's great the paps have great zoom on the cameras but instead feel the need to get in their faces. Ash is totally pregnant that is so bad for the baby. Pete stuck up for his wife by yelling at the paps to "F---ing Move Shes Pregnant!"

After reading more then one source it seems the Wentz's are expecting a boy. Petit Resor is where the newly married couple created a registry and a sales woman has said "they made it clear it was a baby".
