Ashlee Simpson, hubby Pete, and sister Jessica were in Las Vegas on Saturday at the Wet Republic pool at the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino to celebrate Ashlee’s 25th birthday!
No like this is relevant at all but Joe Simpson recently spoke about Jessica's weight criticism saying, “She’s always scrutinized by the world and [it's great] to watch her go to other countries and see women talk about what is beautiful there,” Joe told US Weekly. “We were just in Uganda, and a beauty ambassador [there] knew Jessica’s total story about her weight and blah, blah, blah. [She said] to Jessica that it’s about who you are inside, which is the message of our show.”

Jessica needs to get over it. This is how the tabloids feed off of your success. Papa Joe is just keeping Jessica in the press since she doesn't have any music or anything current at the moment. What a good manager.

Jessica, Usher, & Mariah Featured In New Macy's Commercial

Mariah Carey, Usher, Jessica Simpson, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Queen Latifah, Tommy Hilfiger, and Emeril Lagasse are featured in the new Macy's commercial to help end hunger. Usher spoke about the commercial saying, “After hours, Macy’s employees as well as all of us carrying our [celebrity] brands come together and have a dinner.”

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have broken up. Tony is a jerk for breaking up with her the night before her 29th birthday. But a source close to the singer said the sudden split was bound to happen.

"It was a long time coming, he hasn't really been into her and the relationship for awhile, but stayed together because he didn't want to look like a jerk for not having a better reason to break it off," said our source. "And she's trying to save face by saying that it's because of their busy schedules."

Of course you know there are rumors that Papa Joe was meddling into their relationship and thats another reason why the broke up.

Maybe Jess is just looking for love in all the wrong places. Or maybe she just isnt suppose to get married. Some celebrities get married once its over and they never marry again. Is it a surprise the NFL player and country singer broke up?

Would You Watch Jessica Simpson's Reality Show?

Jessica Simpson is shopping a new reality show to TV networks. The show, "The Price of Beauty," is a series based on society's scrutiny of women's bodies. A source tells US Weekly magazine, "She and a friend set off on a road trip around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why."

Jess's rep tells US magazine, "Jessica is indeed working on a new show, but network details have not been finalized at this time."

Jess has been criticized so much about her body in the media lately; in a recent Vanity Fair story Jess responded to the media's criticism saying, "It comes with what I do, and I know that every day the media's going to challenge me."

The source says Jess will be hands on with the show and to "picture Fear Factor."

Jessica Simpson performed at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday (May 9) as part of the park’s “Bud & BBQ” country-music series.

Jess even had time to update twitter, “Going on stage now.”

And one last tweet before strutting in her Daisy dukes, “Get ready for greatness, Shamu.”

After her performance, Jess blogged, “Just overcame my fear of sharks by kissing a killer whale.”

Jessica Simpson Covers Vanity Fair

Jessica Simpson covers the June 2009 issue of Vanity Fair and covers everything from her faith, Tony Romo, Nick Lachey and the media criticizing her so much.

Jessica on the most lucrative part of her career: "The Jessica Simpson Collection is a $400 million business. My mom and I are creative directors. We have hundreds of people working, but nothing gets by us. It's adorable and it's affordable. What's amazing right now, during this recession, is that, somehow, the business keeps growing."

Jessica on her many on-stage flubs and screw-ups making headlines: "When it comes to media criticism, that's just something I have had to train myself - literally train myself - to ignore. Because I'm the one up there onstage, and I can feel the energy of the crowd. And I know when I did good. And I know when I did great. And there wasn't one time on this tour when I felt like I butchered it. I mean, the way people make it sound, I should have never been singing in the first place."

Jessica on whether Newlyweds caused the demise of her marriage to Nick Lachey: "In all honesty, I believe it did not affect our marriage, Because we enjoyed watching those episodes, and that will always be a time I cherish. It made me understand what marriage is, what love is, what commitment is."

Jessica on her current relationship with Nick: "I have not spoken to him in years."

Jessica on papa Joe Simpson: "If I'm going for advice for anything in my life, I go straight to my father because he has the answers. I can talk to my dad like he's my manager, and put 'Dad' on the back burner. We've been doing it since I was 13. So, at this point, we're in a good rhythm. A lot of people find it strange, but it's the only way I know. And I don't care to know another way, because it suits me. And we've done a pretty dang good job."

Jessica on the current poltical landscape in America: "I think it's definitely time for change. And I am very supportive of our president, and I believe that he's going to do remarkable things."

Jessica on keeping the faith: "I'm spiritual. I live off the faith that has been instilled in me, that has never left. I've never let a stumbling block actually make me fall. We all go through trials, but not one thing has ever made me question God. I have a great relationship with God. I can talk to him, get mad at him, frustrated with him. But, ultimately, my faith is what defines me."

Jess Simpson Booted From Country Label

Jessica Simpson is no longer with the Sony Nashville label, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.

Earlier today, blogs were abuzz that Simpson was dropped from the label after her name was noticeably missing from both the Columbia Nashville and Sony Music Nashville websites.

Simpson also skipped Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards, even though she announced the nominees earlier this year.

But the singer's rep tells Us, "She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album."

Simpson, who has released pop albums on the Epic label, "is and has always been an Epic artist," her rep adds. "She continues to be on Epic's label."

Although Simpson's country debut, Do You Know, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard country charts, it only sold 172,876 copies as of February.

Jess Upset That Tony Hasn't Proposed Yet

Jessica Simpson is said to be upset that after more than a year of dating her Cowboys QB BF, Tony Romo, still hasn’t gotten down on bended knee and asked her to marry him.

“Jessica was really hoping that she was going to get an engagement ring,” a source close to Jess revealed in a clandestine interview with OK!. “She wanted one for Christmas, then she thought maybe New Year’s Eve. Her last hope was that Tony would propose on Valentine’s Day–but he didn’t.”

Jessica, 28, was overheard gripping about Tony’s alleged commitment phobia while dining with her marriedd sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, late last month.

“You know, I really thought he was going to make it happen this time. I thought he was ready to propose,” Jess told Ashlee, according to a friend. “I know Tony loves me, but I don’t know if he’ll ever propose.”

“Ashlee has always been the more realistic, more practical of the two sisters,” the insider tells OK!. “And Ashlee knows how much her sister wants to be married and have a baby of her own. But as wonderful as Tony is, he is not the marrying kind–probably not for years.”

Words Wont Bring Jessica Down

Jessica Simpson is not letting recent criticism get her down. The singer, who helped announce nominations for the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Wednesday, says she's fine just as she is, thank you very much.

"Honestly, I am right where I'm supposed to be. I am so happy," she said on The Early Show Wednesday. "Right now I'm on tour with Rascal Flatts having a blast."

Part of having a blast includes spending time with friends – and boyfriend Tony Romo. The pair had a casual fun-filled night out over the weekend at The Great Dane Pub in Madison, Wis., where they partied after she opened for Rascal Flatts at The Kohl Center Saturday night.

Jess Has A Tough Time Getting Through Her Performance

Jessica Simpson recently performed in grand Rapids Michigan, on Thursday night. Jess sported a pair of Daisy Duke style shorts, but seemed a bit nervous at times. Jess told the crowd of 15,000 that she had, "a rough week".

"You definitely have to confront everything you go through." Jess added during the 40 minute set as she frequently sipped from a mug. Jessica also mentioned to fans, "My voice is weak tonight and I feel so vulnerable onstage," she told the crowd, according to the The Grand Rapids Press.
Simpson, who was the opening act for the country trio Rascal Flatts, stopped singing during one of her songs and asked to start it over.
Responding to reports of a meltdown, her rep tells PEOPLE, "Jessica just had an off night. She’s a perfectionist and wanted to start some of the songs over. She always wants to give her best performance to her fans."

The one thing that is sure to put a smile on Jess' face, Tony Romo, "I'm excited – I get to see my boyfriend tomorrow," she told the crowd, grinning. "I love him so, so very much."

Maybe all the backlash from the media has really hurt Jess's feelings.

Carmen Electra Is Team Jessica

Another celebrity who's career is based on her looks comments about Jessica Simpson's body.

"She's a gorgeous girl," Carmen Electra told PEOPLE Friday night at the 6th annual Leather & Laces Super Bowl Party in Tampa of her "good friend" Simpson. "A lot of women would die to look as good as she looks."

Electra believes much of the controversy surrounding Simpson, and her curvier body can be chalked up to the outfit she was wearing the day she performed in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

"There's going to be moments where people don't necessarily like your look or what you're wearing, and that's okay," she says. "Next week, she'll rock some outfit that will blow everyone away."

Nick Lachey Feels The Need To Defend Jessica

Jessica Simpson has another defender of her curvier figure: her ex-husband and reality show costar, Nick Lachey.

"I hope she's happy, whatever size she comes in," Lachey tells Extra. "I wish her nothing but the best."

Lachey, 35, joins a chorus of other celebs supporting Simpson, 28, including sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum.

"I can't believe it's this big of a story and people are making such a huge deal about it," Lachey says. "I'm never ceased to be amazed by people's reaction to things."

Jessica Gets Slapped With Lawsuit?

This isn't starting off as a good year for Jess. First the media calls her fat and now she's getting suid because of her workout video.

Jessica Simpson has been slammed with a $10 million breach of contract lawsuit over an unreleased workout DVD.

In 2005, the singer filmed a exercise instructional for fitness company SpeedFit, but the shoot quickly took a humiliating turn when Jess allegedly turned up to the studio “tipsy.”

Her manager-father Joe reportedly refused to sign off on the project, preventing the SpeedFit boss Alex Astilean from releasing the DVD.

“Jessica was a mess during that shoot,” an insider revealed in an interview with Radaronline this week.

“They asked her to come back and re-shoot, but she refused, and that’s why she’s facing a lawsuit now.”

Ashlee Defends Big Sis Jess

We all know its EVERYWHERE about Jessica Simpson at a recent gig looking "fat". I put that in quotes because I dont consider her fat...it just wasnt the right outfit. 

Ashlee Simpson feels the need to defend her sister:

“Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy? I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure.

All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard.

Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend?

I seriously doubt it. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now can we focus on the things that really matter.”

Jess Simpson's Trainer Defends Her Weight Gain

While high-waisted jeans might not be flattering on anyone, Jessica Simpson set the gossip world buzzing while performing onstage at WKIS's Chili Cookoff in Florida. The pop princess was flaunting a noticeably fuller figure that seemed to be squeezed into a black tanktop, double belts and the denim pants.

But while the country singer, who has struggled with her weight before, might seem to have packed on the pounds, her one-time trainer is defending the blonde bombshell.

"She has curves where a woman needs to have curves," Harley Pasternak tells Extra of his former client. "We all go a little bit up and a little bit down. But she's healthy. She's still sexy. She's still a beautiful woman. And I have no problem with the way she looks." He adds, "I think if more people looked the way she looks now, the country would be a lot healthier."

The fitness guru and author of The 5-Factor Diet, who worked with J-Simp on Major Movie Star, says, "Jessica was a fantastic client. I think Jessica has a really healthy perspective on her healthy body image and looks like a woman. I would take her body any day over somebody who's emaciated and looks unhealthy."

The outfit of choice wasn't the right one anyway.

Jess Simpson Sprays Her Hair With Perfume

Jessica Simpson sprays her hair with perfume so she doesn't have to wash it. The singer-and-actress was advised to only shampoo her long blonde locks two or three times a month by her hairdresser Ken Paves, so she uses fragrances to cover the smell when her locks need a clean. A source said: "Jessica's tresses are often greasy, but she hides it well. She wears hats or reaches for the Hairdo, the clip-on extension line she created with Ken. If her hair starts to smell, she just spritzes it with perfume from her own range!" Jessica is not the only star who shies away from cleansing her hair. British actress Emily Mortimer recently revealed she uses dry shampoo because she hates washing her hair. The 'Match Point' actress admitted: "I'm very unhealthy. I hardly ever get my hair cut and use Batiste Dry Shampoo so I don't have to wash it every day."
