Ellen Asks Diddy Why He Let Chris & Rihanna Stay At Home

Diddy
is speaking out about opening up his Miami home to Chris Brown and Rihanna several weeks after Brown was accused of assaulting his girlfriend.

"It was a dark time for them and I was there as more of a support," the music mogul said during an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that aired Tuesday. "I'm not immersed in [their situation]. I'm not going to pass judgment on it. I'm going to be there as a friend."

Clearly uncomfortable by the line of questioning – the talk show host raised the issue by asking Diddy to "clear something up" – the music mogul was initially defensive about his reasons for inviting the two to his Star Island home. (Brown was photographed jet skiing near the house, prompting criticism on the Web of his seemingly carefree behavior in light of the serious legal issues pending.)

"It's my house, and I'm allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to," Diddy said on the show. "I don't cast a stone – cast judgment on anybody. So, if friends ask me for a favor, then I'm going to be there for a favor as long as I know the energy of the favor is positive."

Plus, Diddy added that he believes it's positive for "two people to sit down and talk about a situation they're in."

He also cautions to be wary of jumping to conclusions, saying, "We don't know exactly what's going on. There are two young individuals [involved]. We need to pray for them."

But, he told DeGeneres, "I don't think it's right for anybody to hit anybody."

Diddy's sixth studio album, Last Train to Paris, will hit stores and the net September 22.

The electro-hip-hop-soul-funk album will combine a mixture of sight and sound. “I’m ushering in a new movement called ‘train music’,” said the 39-year-old entertainer. “Last Train to Paris is deeper than any of the other stuff I have ever made. The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, The Neptunes, Mario Winans, T-Pain, and Rodney Jerkins are all on board Diddy’s Train. “I’ve been a businessman for the past two years. It’s time for me to focus on being an artist again. I am going to show the world a new refreshing side of me. Get on or get off!”

Diddy: Aubrey Thinking About Playboy For Awhile

Diddy spoke with The Daily 10 on E!. He mentioned actor Joaquin Phoenix and Aubrey.

Regarding Joaquin Phoenix’ rap career, Combs says:

“While I'm out here in the studio working on my stuff, I'm supposed to be going and we supposed to start talking. I told him he help me with my acting, Im’a help him with his music. Let’s trade some secrets. I think that anybody who commits themselves to something that they can do it. I mean you got to understand he did ‘Walk the Line,’ he sung a lot. I'm interested to see you know what he wants to do.”

Regarding firing Aubrey O’Day from Danity Kane:

“I don't have no regrets. You know the reason why I wanted to put her in the group was because I think she was a star. And I just think that the brand I was trying to create with the girls was definitely with Danity Kane was with a more younger vibe. And Playboy thing was lurking from way back then so that was one of the frictions that me and her had. That I was hearing that she wanted to do ‘Playboy’ and I was hearing about it a lot you know. A lot of things that I think was interfering with brand of the group.”
