Black Eyed Peas Knock Out The Competition

The Black Eyed Peas set the mark for best single-week and debut download totals by a group. Their latest single "Boom Boom Pow" shifts 465,000 in its first week of release. The track tops the Hot Digital Songs chart and is set to become the act's first Billboard Number 1 Hot 100, with a 39-1 leap.

Coldplay had set the weekly digital sales record for a group when "Viva La Vida" moved 253,000 the week of June 21, 2008.
