Gaga's Topless Magazine Cover Causes Issues

Lady Gaga recently posed for the cover of Q magazine, which has been banned by several leading stores in the U.S. As soon as I found this article and saw the picture I felt people were overreacting. The singer supposedly walked out of the recent shoot after bosses wanted her to strike a controversial pose to address rumors about her being a hermaphrodite. That right there pissed me off. The first comment that came to mind was to "leave Gaga alone".

The article also states the editors weren't impressed with her demands and various negotiations continued. Gaga reportedly burst into tears and walked out. Regardless of what happened at the photoshoot, the final product isn't that risky of a photo.

Borders and other stores (that the article didn't mention) refuses to stock the magazine unless it is placed in a sealed cover (according to QTheMusic.com). I can think back to plenty of covers that featured celebrities practically naked and they weren't sold in plastic wrap. Think back to Ciara's 2008 nude Vibe cover, Britney and Christina's Rolling Stone covers (from '03 and '02). Do people expect certain covers to have certain type of pictures on it? RS is known for controversial covers, but does that mean people won't be outraged by it? I know nothing about Q magazine, but I feel they were giving Gaga a hard time.

John Mayer Brings Fan Onstage

Regardless of what John Mayer said in his recent Playboy interview, the man still puts on a good concert. Many people may be hating on John at the moment (I bet he wishes he could take back the comments from that interview) but this video made me smile. John brings a young fan by the name of Austin onto the stage and they play "Belief" together. John I still love you. Even if your comments were out of line.

New Music: Orianthi - According To You Remix

Orianthi just released a remix of her hit debut song "According To You." The remix is by Jason Sangerman and can be downloaded on iTunes. I'm not a fan of remixes, so I'll stick with the original that already has been played out thanks to the local radio stations. Orianthi is doing her thing though, "According To You" is #20 on the Billboard Hot 10 and #5 on the Pop charts.

New Music: Money - Matt Morris

Matt Morris has been writing songs for his fellow Mickey Mouse Club members before hitting mainstream media. Matt co-wrote Justin Timberlake's "(Another Song) All Over Again" on his FutureSex/LoveSounds album. Sade performed her hit “Soldier of Love” on Tuesday’s “Late Show with David Letterman.” The sultry singer reveals that she was not anxious to return to the spotlight with her latest album. “I ventured in with a little trepidation. I wasn’t eager to get back out there and be recognized again,” she tells The New York Times. “Some people love all of the trimmings and everything that comes with [the music business]. But I happen to not be one of those people.”

Country's Newest Singer: Laura Bell Bundy

Laura Bell Bundy got her big start in Broadway musicals playing Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Glinda in Wicked and Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray. The Kentucky-born performer is now taking on the country music scene.

JT & Jamie Foxx Single Coming Soon?

Jamie Foxx and Justin Timberlake have a “Split Personality.”

That’s the name of the single they’re going to release soon from Jamie’s next album, coming in May.

The pair actually recorded two duets, each of which is set for the album.

Very quietly, Jamie has become a solid music star. He’s had two hit albums in the last four years. And lots of singles. In just a short time he’s ramped up his music career to full speed, right along with his Oscar winning film career.

Much of the music success goes to his music manager, Breyon Prescott. Jamie gave him a shout out last night at Clive Davis’s party. The film side is still handled by Marcus King. They’re a good team.

Justin meanwhile has loads of duets he’s amassing, such as “4 Minutes to Save the World” with Madonna. Soon he’ll have enough for a whole album– a good thing since he’s not working on one of his own!

Hey Justin! We love you collaborating with so many artists, but a new album is in need.
