RiRi & Breezy Together?

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the "Umbrella" singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE.

"They're together again. They care for each other," says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean "Diddy" Combs's homes.

Adds the source: "While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."

In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."

Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

According to Us Weekly, RiRi and Chris have been spotted on Star Island near Miami, at a house owned by P. Diddy.

“She’s not listening to anyone,” says a Rihanna pal. “And of course Puff got involved in this.”

The couple is staying together at a house owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs on Star Island near Miami, Florida. Brown has been seen smiling, riding a jet ski, and flexing his arm muscles. Rihanna arrived four days ago, according to a source.

Rihanna’s pals recently told us a reconciliation was always a possibility, “It’s not easy to shut off a relationship she invested so much in.”

Justin To Appear On Jimmy Fallon's Talk Show

Jimmy Fallon reached into his Saturday Night Live pocket and pulled out a big trick: Music superstar Justin Timberlake will be a guest on Fallon’s very first Late Night show, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
Fallon, the former SNL star who’s taking the reigns of NBC’s talk show from Conan O’Brien beginning March 2, famously costarred with Timberlake in the classic SNL skit, “The Barry Gibbs Talk Show.”
Fallon previously announced another guest for his debut behind the desk: Robert DeNiro. “I thought it would be kind of good to have my first guy be probably one of the toughest people you could interview,” Fallon said during a Feb. 19 phone call with press.
PEOPLE has also confirmed that Fallon booked music act Clap Your Hands Say Yeah for his March 4 show.
Timberlake’s rep could not be reached for comment.

Ciara Talks Album & The Collaboration With Justin

Fans have been waiting for Ciara’s third album, Fantasy Ride, for quite some time now. The album was originally slated for a fall 2008 release then subsequently push to winter of 08, then the beginning of 2009. And yet, still no album.
But CiCi promises the wait will be over soon, even going as far to give a release date of May 19 that she insists is “not moving.”
“That day is perfect because I can make sure I can hold down the US as well as the UK overseas. Everybody gets it at one time,” she told Ed Lover of Power 105.1 this morning (Feb. 24) in an interview.
The talented singer/dancer admits the release date is later than she expected, but with the push-back disappointment, she couldn’t hold back her excitement over the new single from the album, the scorching hot “Love Sex Magic” featuring Justin Timberlake.
Unlike a lot of “duets” where a track is sent back and forth between artists, the two stars went into the studio one on one to work on the song.
Beyond what Timberlake brought to the session musically, Ciara walked away impressed by another one of his best attributes. “He’s a comedian. I think that all of us can agree–at least if you’ve been watching some of his stuff lately–that he’s really becoming more and more silly…His personality is amazing.”
The video for “Love Sex Magic,” which Ciara describes as “the best one thus far,” was shot last week. It directed by Diane Martel who worked on past videos for CiCi like “Like A Boy” and “Promise.”

Kanye Talks Michael Phelps, OJ Simpson, Chris Brown & Radiohead

Kanye West didn't only talk about himself when he appeared on “VH1 Storytellers.” Kanye talked about Chris Brown, Radiohead, Michael Phelps and O.J. Simpson.

According to Reuters, Mr. West was less than pleased that Radiohead’s Thom Yorke allegedly snubbed him backstage at the Grammys on Feb. 8, especially since he is a fan of the British band and considers it one of his inspirations.

“So when he performed at the Grammys, I sat the fu** down,” West said.

He also addressed the Chris Brown-Rihanna incident, asking the audience, “Can’t we give Chris a break? … I know I make mistakes in life.”

Kanye also mentioned O.J. Simpson that didn’t go over too well with the crowd. “O.J. Simpson, amazing. Is he not? What he did, when he did, what he did. Was he not amazing though?”

He did receive cheers when he said, “Michael Jackson, amazing. Michael Phelps, amazing … He’s a real fu**in’ person; he makes mistakes,” referring to the photo of Phelps smoking from a marijuana pipe.

Catch Kanye on VH1 Storytellers on Saturday at 9 p.m. on VH1.

Chris Recieving Death Threats

Chris Brown has been left fearing for his life after receiving a series of death threats following the release of a photograph of a battered woman who is believed to be his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

According to In Touch Weekly magazine, Brown remains in seclusion, surrounded by bodyguards because he fears for his life.

"Chris is scared. Not only did he probably lose his career and his girlfriend, but he’s also fearing for his security and his life. The photo was the last straw. The threats started pouring in the moment that appeared," an insider revealed.

"He faces criminal charges and possible jail time, but he’s going to have to deal with Rihanna’s legion of fans and her close-knit friends in the industry," the source added.

The 19-year-old singer has been charged with making criminal threats and is currently still on a US$50,000 bail. Rihanna has reportedly told police that Brown had beat her, choked her until she passed out and threatened to kill her during an argument in Los Angeles on February 7

Don't you think death threats are taking it a bit far? Chris was wrong but threatening him isnt helping Rihanna at all. Leave your thoughts.

DMX In More Trouble...While In Jail

Jailed rapper DMX is facing additional charges after he allegedly threw a tray of food at a Maricopa County detention officer.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was booked on aggravated assault charges Wednesday, according to County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The 38-year-old rapper already is serving a 90-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to felony charges of theft, drug posession and a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty on Dec. 30.
Arpaio says Simmons became upset Sunday after being told he could not have a meal he took from a serving tray. Arpaio says Simmons then threw the tray and its contents at an officer, who wasn't injured.
Simmons has been on a bread and water diet as punishment for an earlier jail violation.
A message left with Simmons' attorney was not immediately returned.

Chris Brown Attends His First Anger Management Class

Chris Brown has enrolled himself in anger management classes after he allegedly assaulted Rihanna over two weeks ago.

The troubled R&B singer attended his first class in Glendale, Calif., on Monday afternoon, according to the New York Daily News.

“Chris doesn’t actually have to go by law,” says an insider, “but he believes it will make him look better to the public, and he wants to try to get in a few classes before March 5,” his court date.

Apparently, Brown isn’t the only one with anger management issues. “Rihanna is temperamental, too,” according to the newspaper’s source. “They’re both too hot-headed for their own good.”

The singers may reunite at Chris Brown’s trial in Los Angeles next month where Rihanna is expected to testify.

Britney To Perform Illusions During Concerts

Britney Spears will be sawed in half -- among other stunts -- on her upcoming Circus tour, according to E! News.

"Right away, she got into the boxes and into the magic contraptions to learn the stuff, and she's so excited about this tour and all the elements that are in it," illusionist-comedian Ed Alonzo said.

Alonzo, the lead illusionist on MyNetwork TV's Masters of Illusion, will be doing a number with Spears at each performance.

"We're going to be doing the classics of magic but a little high-tech," he said. "We'll be doing a little dissection, transposition, a vanish, an appearance," he said. Spears will serve as Alonzo's assistant during the bit, but that won't stop her from missing out on the fun.

"If I do a trick, she doesn't just hold the props, she's actually getting inside the big boxes or I am slicing her up."

He added: I "made [the tricks] really easy for her, but there are some complicated things that she is doing that you would think a contortionist would have to do, or a trained magician's assistant. But because she's a dancer, it really makes sense to put her in the magic, and it works and she's really, really good at it."

Alonzo would not comment on which Spears song will accompany their joint performance, but he did say that the three-ring circus set helps them get into character.

"It's like watching a big Cirque du Soleil high-tech circus, but with a really focused star in the middle of all of this," he said. "It's going to be an amazing concert for people to watch."

Ne-Yo Says Rihanna Is Fine, But Wants To Talk With Chris

When Ne-Yo found out about the allegations of violence between Chris Brown and Rihanna, he knew he couldn't get the story from a third party. Concerned for both his friends, the singer wanted to speak to them personally.

"I wanted to talk to them before I made a comment," he said about the much-publicized incident that occurred before the Grammy Awards.

"I spoke to Rihanna. She says she's fine. She didn't go into detail about what happened. I understand it's a painful situation; I didn't push."

Ne-Yo said he was grief-stricken after viewing the recently leaked photo of a bruised and apparently battered Rihanna shortly after her altercation with Brown.

"I saw the picture," he said solemnly. "That just really — that hurt me to my heart, man. Again, I still don't know what happened, 'cause I haven't had the opportunity to talk to Chris yet. But to take it to that level really hurt my heart. All I can say is, I'm praying for both of them. They're both in my prayers. I haven't had a chance to talk to Chris yet. I just wanna sit down and talk to that dude and just explain if he doesn't understand: 'That's not something that's excusable, bruh. You have to get a little smarter about whatever it is going on in your relationship. You have to get a little smarter about how you handle certain situations.'"

Still, Ne-Yo refused to be Brown's judge and jury. "I'm not going to crucify him," Ne-Yo said. "I'm not going to do that. That's still my homeboy at the end of the day. For it to go to that level was wrong. I won't say who was responsible. I won't pick no sides. I'm just saying it was wrong [that] it had to happen like that, and I'm praying for the both of them."

Ne-Yo has had very close ties to Brown and Rihanna. In 2006, Brown and Ne-Yo co-headlined a tour that featured Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana. In 2005, Ne-Yo and Rihanna became two of the main pieces of the Def Jam puzzle when then-president Jay-Z had a hand in signing both acts.

Rihanna Celebrates Birthday With Friends & Chris Reaches Out

Rihanna gathered a celeb-free circle of friends Friday to celebrate her 21st birthday.

“Chris called Rihanna to wish her a happy birthday,” an insider tells us. “He’s absolutely trying to get back into her good graces. He knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is.”

But Brown seems to think a few well-placed birthday gifts can salve his ex’s wounds. He has already sent the “Good Girl Gone Bad” singer a diamond bracelet and necklace, an insider tells us, as well as an iPod Touch. Plus, Brown’s mom, Joyce, who is said to adore Rihanna, sent over a bouquet of flowers.

“Rihanna so wanted Chris with her on her big day, but obviously realizes why they can’t be together right now,” our insider says. “But it’s becoming more and more clear that she can’t be without him.”

Friday’s party — held in a rented house in the Hollywood Hills — had a Monte Carlo-worthy casino theme, with professional croupiers brought in to deal for the pop princess and a few choice friends. “Her theme was ‘Blackjack 21’ and all the guests gambled,” says our snitch. “And although there was alcohol available, Rihanna wasn’t drinking.”

Good news on the healing process of her bruised and battered face. “She hasn’t scarred or anything,” our insider reports. “She was in a great mood. She was really celebrating not just her birthday, but life in general.”

Following the intimate gathering, Rihanna hopped into a waiting car and jetted off to her native Barbados, where she finished out her birthday weekend with her mom.

TMZ Paid How Much For Rihanna's Photo?

Blogs are buzzing with the first photo of Rihanna’s bruised face.

TheMediaBuffet.com claims that TMZ paid $62,500 for the picture of Rihanna, citing a TMZ.com insider. The price is double the yearly salary of the law enforcement official who leaked the photo.

The Los Angeles Police Department is taking the leak very seriously. Rihanna’s father has expressed his disappointment with the LAPD’s “sloppy” work.

“[Chris] Brown, even if guilty, could walk free because of the unauthorized release of this photo,” an LAPD source tells TheMediaBuffet.com.

John Legend Calls For Boycott of NY Post Over Controversial Cartoon

John Legend is calling for a boycott of the New York Post after the newspaper ran a controversial cartoon that has been widely criticized as racist. Read his open letter below.

Dear Editor:

I’m trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really? Did it occur to you that this suggestion would imply a connection between President Barack Obama and the deranged chimpanzee? Did it occur to you that our President has been receiving death threats since early in his candidacy? Did it occur to you that blacks have historically been compared to various apes as a way of racist insult and mockery? Did you intend to invoke these painful themes when you printed the cartoon?

If that’s not what you intended, then it was stupid and willfully ignorant of you not to connect these easily connectable dots. If it is what you intended, then you obviously wanted to be grossly provocative, racist and offensive to the sensibilities of most reasonable Americans. Either way, you should not have printed this cartoon, and the fact that you did is truly reprehensible. I can’t imagine what possible justification you have for this. I’ve read your lame statement in response to the outrage you provoked. Shame on you for dodging the real issue and then using the letter as an opportunity to attack Rev. Sharpton. This is not about Rev. Sharpton. It’s about the cartoon being blatantly racist and offensive.

I believe in freedom of speech, and you have every right to print what you want. But freedom of speech still comes with responsibilities and consequences. You are responsible for printing this cartoon, and I hope you experience some real consequences for it. I’m personally boycotting your paper and won’t do any interviews with any of your reporters, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the entertainment business to do so as well. I implore your advertisers to seriously reconsider their business relationships with you as well.

You should print an apology in your paper acknowledging that this cartoon was ignorant, offensive and racist and should not have been printed.

I’m well aware of our country’s history of racism and violence, but I truly believe we are better than this filth. As we attempt to rise above our difficult past and look toward a better future, we don’t need the New York Post to resurrect the images of Jim Crow to deride the new administration and put black folks in our place. Please feel free to criticize and honestly evaluate our new President, but do so without the incendiary images and rhetoric.

Sincerely,
John Legend

Rihanna's Father Upset Over Leaked Photo

Rihanna’s father (pictured next to her, left) is upset with the Los Angeles Police Department after a photo of his battered and bruised daughter leaked on Thursday.

“Sloppy work on their part,” Ronald Fenty told PEOPLE after the photo emerged on the Internet.

The LAPD is looking into the leak. “The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” said the police in a statement.

“The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint,” the statement continued. “A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”

Nelly's Working On Las Vegas Variety Show

Nelly has his eyes set on Las Vegas variety TV show.

“Nelly’s Night in Vegas” is being pitched to networks as a weekly series that would feature Nelly and celebrity guests. He is working with NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” producer 25/7 Prods. on the effort.

Producers have already worked out a deal with Planet Hollywood to shoot the weekly talk show-variety hybrid at the hotel and casino, according to Variety.

Nelly would have his own sidekick and house band, as well as guests and performances. And what would a Vegas show be if it didn’t include an in-studio gaming element?

“I was thinking about what was missing on TV, and when this idea came about, it made sense for me,” said the rapper. “We do have talk shows, but no one’s speaking from the pop culture perspective. Let’s get a little more pop, a little more edge, a little bit younger, and not look like you’re sitting in the principal’s office. As a performer, that’s the type of show you look forward to going on.”

What Does Taylor Swift Fear?

Taylor Swift has said that she does not want to discuss sex because people may start imagining her naked.
The country singer, 19, who still lives with her parents, also revealed that she had never smoked a cigarette or drunk alcohol.
"I feel like whatever you say about [sex], whether you do or don't, it makes people picture you naked," she told Rolling Stone. "And as much as possible, I'm going to avoid that. It's self-preservation, really."
Swift also vowed that she would not follow in the footsteps of party-loving female celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.
"When you lose someone's trust, it's lost, and there are a lot of people out there who are counting on me right now," she said.
"Rebellion is what you make of it. When you've been on a tour bus for two months straight, and then you get in your car and drive wherever you want, that can feel rebellious."

Actress Defends Miley Cyrus Photo

Hannah Montana actress Alison Brie is defending Miley Cyrus' controversial photos in which she makes slanted eyes.

"I think people are too hard on kids in the entertainment industry," Brie told Usmagazine.com at the Lela Rose fashion show in NYC over the weekend. "It's a really tough industry to be in."

Continues Brie, who currently stars in Mad Men: "If your average Joe was put under a microscope and scrutinized the way Miley Cyrus is, they'd be doing a lot worse."

Cyrus had to apologize twice for the photos after her first mea culpa -- in which she said she was "making a goofy face" -- was criticized by an Asian-American group as not being heartfelt enough.

Brie says Cyrus "knows she's a role model. In general, she does great at being a great role model for kids. Everybody makes mistakes."

The actress thinks Cyrus "knows when she's messed up.

Why is she commenting now? This photo issue is on the back burner now.

Rihanna Leaves Barbados Quietly

E! News has learned that Rihanna has left her native Barbados after spending time with her family and friends in the wake of the Feb. 8 fight that left her hospitalized and Chris Brown under arrest.

As we originally reported, her family had the 20-year-old whisked to Barbados early last week. Over the weekend, Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, told People he had seen his "bruised" daughter there on Feb. 12.

Now, a source tells E! News: "She's not in Barbados."

Rihanna, who canceled two shows in Asia last week, currently has no scheduled public appearances. Her rep couldn't be reached for immediate comment.

Brown's publicist says the embattled singer has no comment beyond the apology he issued over the weekend.

Katy Perry Wins Brit Award & Pukes

Katy Perry was forced to leave the Wednesday night’s 2009 Brit Awards early after becoming violently ill and vomitting backstage.

Katy’s Best International Female Solo Artist victory was slightly marred after the singer found herself overwhlemed by a wave of illness.

“I’m so sick right now, but they said I should show up because something special might happen. Thank you to everyone at my record label. (I proved) I work pretty hard because I want to die right now,” Katy told the audience.

Katy vomitted as soon as she left the stage, according to a text message she sent to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. “Just got a text from Katy. She had to leave the Brits after she won. She’s so sick that she puked backstage! ‘Punk rock,’ she says,” Perez said in a Twitter posting late Wednesday.

Paramore Hitting The Road With No Doubt & Name New Track After Food

Paramore are currently holed up in their rehearsal space in their home town of Nashville, Tennessee demoing material for their third studio album.
While the record remains as yet untitled, frontwoman Hayley Williams revealed that the record will include a track entitled Sumo Sandwich.
Someone's obviously got food on the brain.
In related news, Williams added that the band are "super excited" to be hitting the road with No Doubt in the US this summer.
"What a dream tour!" she said. "We couldn't be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt.".

Coldplay To Give Away Next Album For Free

Coldplay's Chris Martin has revealed the band are planning to release a live album for free this summer.

The band want to give the record away to fans as they attend their stadium gigs in September.

"What we want to do is try to give away a live album for free," Martin told The Sun.

The singer said that one idea behind the album was to provide respite to fans who are struggling with the current economic crisis.

"We're playing a lot of shows in the summer and I think what we would like to do is - bearing in mind the recession we are in - record the live album then give it as a gift," he added.

"We are just trying to work out how to do that. It's obviously a bit tricky in terms of record contracts and things but it would be great. Its a way of saying thank you. It's a tough economy and people are paying a lot of money for tickets.

"We are trying to work out a way that, when you hand your ticket in at the door, you get given the recording. It would be such a cool thing to do."

Solange About Her Wardrobe Malfunction

Solange Knowles suffered a wardrobe malfunction when she wore a sheer black top to the Toni Maticevski Fall 2009 show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at New York City’s Altman Building on Monday (February 16).

The 22-year-old singer’s dress unfortunately fell a little too far down, revealing more than she bargained for. Solange lamented on her blog about her see-through moment, saying, “I always wear undies [and have] never been carried out of the club drunk. I wont even pose for king or any ‘eye candy’ type shoots and now look. My s— on display for all the world to see. Why does everyone always wanna say ‘It could’ve been worse’ when this type of thing happens? Arrrrrghh… I hate that! It sucks either way!”

She finishes, “I’m wearing turtlenecks for the rest of the year gosh dammit.”

William Rast's New Collection Inspired By President Obama

When William Rast co-founders Justin Timberlake and childhood friend Trace Ayala brought in husband-and-wife design team Marcella and Johan Lindeberg last year, the venture became even more like an extended family. “We talk about everything. Justin is even baby-sitting our daughter,” says Marcella from backstage at the line’s debut show at Bryant Park. “We have a style that we all like. The foundation is there.” And Justin and Trace have just as much of an understanding. Says Timberlake, “We inspire each other. For instance, this season, we’re inspired by Barack Obama. I am inspired where we can go with the nation. That’s why we picked the theme of New America for the show.” Timberlake’s girlfriend Jessica Biel is “so proud” of the direction they’ve taken. “They’re clearly taking it to another level. I want the whole line,” says the actress, who often test-runs the clothing. “I always wear the stuff and say, ‘This is tight here. Or this doesn’t work for me here.’ I’m sort of a guinea pig, really.” Even their moms are in awe. “We came from a small town in Tennessee. And our kids are doing a fashion show at Bryant Park. What happened?”

Kelly Clarkson Builds Self Esteem

Kelly Clarkson spoke to pre-teen girls about self esteem, which was sponsored by Dove.

"No girl is perfect," Clarkson – who joked on her blog last month that "they Photoshopped the crap out of me!" on her sexy All I Ever Wanted cover image – told a group of Girl Scouts recently. "No girl wakes up every day and is like, 'I'm awesome!'"

"Just to let you know everyone in the magazines is Photoshopped! Beyoncé is one of the most beautiful girls in the world but she gets Photoshopped too. We're all human!"

Clarkson, 26, knows what it's like to have her body image picked apart. "It affected me when people were saying about me and some other artists that we were the 'thicker' ones," she tells PEOPLE. "I'd be a liar if I said I was always fine with it. But I'm wise enough by now to know that you're never going to please everyone so you may as well stop trying."

The one thing the Idol winner learned and stopped doing.. paying attention to gossip.

"I learned right then to stop reading press. Either you're going to get a big head or you'll get depressed and neither one is great. I don't buy magazines like that. Even if I'm not in them, it's just healthier to get away from that kind of thinking," she says. "It's horrible – they'll show celebrities with cellulite and it's like, 'Of course celebrities have cellulite! We're not fem-bots!'"

Clarkson says she's seen the effect of such body image scrutiny on friends in the public eye. "They melt down because of it," she says. "There is a lot of pressure."

But the singer, whose album All I Ever Wanted is due out March 10, says she's come to terms with it.

Kanye Covers Details Magazine

Kanye West is on the March 2009 cover of Details. A few highlights from the mag:

On what makes him so hard-working: “People ask me a lot about my drive. I think it comes from, like, having a sexual addiction at a really young age. Look at the drive that people have to get sex—to dress like this and get a haircut and be in the club in the freezing cold at 3 A.M., the places they go to pick up a girl. If you can focus the energy into something valuable, put that into work ethic.”

On using “gay” as a compliment: “Titles are very important. I like to embody titles, y’know, or words that have negative connotations, and explain why that’s good,” he says. “Take the word gay—like, in hip-hop, that’s a negative thing, right? But in the past two, three years, all the gay people I’ve encountered have been, like, really, really, extremely dope. Y’know, I haven’t, like, gone to a gay bar, nor do I ever plan to. But where I would talk to a gay person—the conversation would be mostly around, like, art or design—it’d be really dope. From a design standpoint, kids’ll say, ‘Dude, those pants are gay.’ But if it’s, like, good, good, good fashion-level, design-level stuff, where it’s on a higher level than the average commercial design stuff, it’s, like, gay people that do that. I think that should be said as a compliment. Like, ‘Dude, that’s so good it’s almost . . . gay.’”

The magazine hits stands February 24.
