New singing sensation Charice (who celebrates her 18th birthday on May 10th) is giving fans a reason to celebrate also with the release of her highly anticipated self titled debut album the very next day. Also, on the May 11th release day, Charice will perform on The Oprah Winfrey Show and is scheduled to perform on QVC later that evening at 8 pm (EST) for QSessions Live.
Charice will preview songs from her debut album and give fans an exclusive inside look at the inspiration behind her music and career. This is the first time in QVC history that a new artist will be featured on the day of their debut release. “We are thrilled to have Charice debuting her new album on QVC,” said Rob Ellerstein, director of merchandising. “As one of the most highly-anticipated releases this year, Charice’s appearance promises to be one that fans won’t want to miss.”
Charice’s first single, the anthemic love song “Pyramid” featuring Iyaz, is the No. 1 song this week on the Billboard Dance Charts, and her single is currently being played on over 100 radio stations across the U.S. “I feel very blessed to have people like David Foster, Oprah Winfrey, my Reprise family and the QVC people believe in me…I know the week of May 10th will be a week I will remember for the rest of my life,” said Charice.
