New Music:Tokio Hotel - World Behind My Wall

Tokio Hotel took home the award for Best Group earlier this month at MTV’s European Music Awards where they also gave an electrifying performance of “World Behind My Wall." This is the band's second single from their album 'Humanoid'.

Their song "Human Connect To Human" is now featured in the brand new Verizon Droid commercial. Check out the sci-fi themed spot to see Tokio Hotel’s very fitting integration into the campaign.

Tokio Hotel Europe Music Awards Performance

Tokio Hotel took home the "Best Group" award at the '09 MTV European Music Awards in Berlin last night beating out the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Jonas Brothers, Kings of Leon and Green Day. Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav also rocked an epic performance of their international single "World Behind My Wall" complete with pyro and explosive stage effects. The track appears on the recently released Humanoid which is available now.

"Bill drove us all crazy, constantly coming in with things, even though the old songs weren’t finished yet," says Tom, who's fond of frequently ribbing his brother. "Apart from that, we just didn’t limit ourselves, and we used new instruments."

Sneak Peak: Tokio Hotel New Album

Sneak a peek into the life of Tokio Hotel recording their new album Humanoid. Bill shows off his vocal recording room and discusses his extremely loud recording technique. "Most people use regular 'headphone volume,' but I can't stand it. I need to feel like I'm onstage and I'm standing beside the other guys," says the front man. The high-tech vocal mixer used on the tracks is what brought the band to Los Angeles to record. The clip also shows guitarist Tom Kaulitz playing the piano - a skill that most fans didn't know he had. Tokio Hotel Featured In H&M's Fashion Against AIDS

Tokio Hotel are joining Rihanna, My Chemical Romance and Rufus Wainwright in designing 100% organic cotton T-shirts, tank tops or hoodies for H&M's 'Fashion Against AIDS'. The artists all participate without payment and 25% of the clothing's sales prices go to HIV/AIDS prevention groups.

Tokio Hotel's collaboration with the store is a t-shirt featuring a skull with the text 'rock hard / f*** safe', and it goes onsale May 28th.

The Europe Music Awards Nominees

Coldplay, Duffy and Britney Spears lead the nominations for the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards, and Beyoncé is set to perform. MTV today revealed finalists in seven of the eleven categories, including album of the year and act of 2008. The remaining performing artists at the awards, which will be broadcast live from the Liverpool Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday November 6, will be announced in the next few weeks.

Between September 29 and November 2, MTV viewers will be able to vote at www.mtvema.com to decide who will win in each category.
